What question every athlete should ask themselves before committing

CAPTIONS:

“When deciding to commit to a college, what division it is should be A factor, not THE factor.

Just because it’s a higher level, doesn’t mean that’s the better choice. Most athletes that commit to NCAA D1 schools don’t play much or at all in their freshman season. Also, for the athletes that aren’t pro potential, the No. 1 priority should be the school’s academic fit.

Ask yourself this question before committing: Would I go to this school if I didn’t play my sport there?

If the answer is no or probably not, then you likely won’t be happy at that school.”
