MYTH: “If you’re good enough, the colleges will find you”
CAPTIONS:
“One of the biggest misunderstandings of recruiting is ‘If you’re good enough, colleges will find you.’
That may be the case if you’re a LeBron James type of talent, but for 99% of athletes, you need to be proactive in your recruiting and make sure colleges know about you.
The vast majority of athletes colleges recruit are because the athlete reached out to them first and showed an interest in their school.
Athletes that take a back seat in the recruiting process and think their breakout season will get them recruited, likely are going to be left behind.”
