Sophia Arrigo

My name is Sophia Arrigo, a 2028 graduate attending La Salle Institute in Troy, NY, where I’ve earned a starting spot on varsity as a Full Back and Wing. I’ve also transitioned to the Albany Alleycats Soccer Club, competing in the National Premier League (NPL). I’m thrilled to bring my passion for soccer and competitive drive to these new teams.   On the field, I’m known for my pace and fitness, running a 5:30 mile, which fuels my versatility as a competent Full Back and Winger. With excellent field awareness, I excel at winning one-on-one battles against wingers as a strong defender in both roles. I also provide a dynamic attacking outlet by pushing high and wide, overlapping with wingers, and delivering precise crosses to create scoring opportunities. I train year-round with the Albany Alleycats and work weekly with SABI Coach to sharpen my technical skills, defensive positioning, and finishing.   As a two-sport athlete, I also compete in track and field, specializing in the 1500m and 800m, where my speed and endurance enhance my performance on the soccer pitch. Academically, I maintain a 3.9 GPA and plan to major in Business or Pre-Law, consistently earning High Honor Roll recognition while balancing a demanding athletic schedule. Off the field, I run a small nail art business for women in my community and girls at school, showcasing my entrepreneurial spirit and leadership.   Thank you for your time and consideration.
