Parker Strozewski

Parker Strozewski had a tremendous sophomore season to vault him into the college conversation for the class of 2027. He delivered a 76 at the Sectional Championship to individually qualify for State. At the WIAA Tournament, Parker carded rounds of 80 and 77 to finish 11th.   Parker’s strength is his short game, averaging 31 putts per round. He’s confident in his ability to get up-and-down from just about anywhere. Parker identified his irons as a place where he can make improvements and give himself more scoring opportunities. He works on his swing often using a simulator at home.   Parker is totally committed to golf and can’t imagine a college future without it. He’s always watching tip videos and looking for ways to get better. Parker has only been playing competitively for about 3 years, so I still see lots of untapped potential in him. With a strong 3.5 GPA, he’s considering a major in architecture or engineering. — Jon Feyen, ScoutU Golf Scout, Jon@ScoutU.com, 920-979-3093   I’ve had the opportunity to coach Parker during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Parker’s greatest strength is his short game and touch around the green. A big reason why he has success is his willingness to work on his chipping and putting, which often is not a priority for high school players. He is frequently the first player and last player at practice working on his short game. Parker had two competitive rounds this year with 30 putts, two rounds with 29 putts, and a 9-hole round at Brown Deer with 12 putts, which put him in second place among 50 golfers with a 37. His most impressive round that showed his short game abilities was a 77 at West Bend Lakes. He was able to get up and down or save par 7 times, which is an incredible scramble rate.   Another area where Parker has shown improvement is his ability to drive the ball. His freshman year, his average drive was about 220. This past season, he added 30 yards to his drive. He will add distance to his driver as he continues to grow and gets stronger throughout his high school career. Parker sets himself up for success because he is accurate off the tee and he keeps the ball in play.   Without question, Parker’s greatest intangible is his mental focus and course management. He has the perfect temperament on the course. You can never tell if Parker is having a great round or if he’s struggling because he always has the same body language. He never gets too high or low during competitive rounds. If he does have a bad hole or stretch, he’s able to put it behind him and focus on the next shot. Parker is comfortable with his game and always plays within himself. He competes against kids who may hit the ball further than him, but he always comes out ahead by staying focused, hitting the ball accurately, and having a great short game.   Parker made a huge improvement from his freshman to sophomore year. His freshman year he played in a few JV meets to start the season, then he eventually earned a varsity spot halfway into the year. He has competed in every varsity event since. This year was a breakout year as he made 1st Team All-Conference and was one stroke away from tying for Player of the Year. Parker was medalist at the North Shore Conference meet at The Bog by shooting a 35 (-1), and was medalist at the Grafton Sectional by shooting a 76.   Parker’s work ethic on the golf course can also be found in the classroom. This spring, he was named Academic All-State by the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin for having a GPA over 3.4. He was able to achieve these honors while navigating through a full golf schedule this spring. — Phil Trottier, Grafton HS Coach
