Evaluations
6-foot-5, 176 pounds. Shooting guard/combo guard. Played in the 2nd-highest league in Australia (NBL1 Professional Men’s League; wasn’t a paid player, so still has his NCAA eligibility). Quick shooting release. Multiple threat to score – 3-pointers, mid-range and driving. Can score off dribble and catch and shoot. Tough on-ball defense with his aggressiveness. Dives for loose balls. Utilizes spin moves and crossovers. Oftentimes draws fouls on 3s by getting contact. Can finish with both hands. Reads floor well and makes right reads. Very vocal leader. Does whatever it takes and plays hard the entire game. Working to improve is mental toughness (sometimes lets shooting struggles get to him). Very strong work ethic. Most days of the week is practicing/working out. Has access to a 24-hour gym. Coachable.

Jordan Wayne is a 6’5” scoring guard who consistently demonstrates a high-level impact on both ends of the floor. I had the opportunity to coach Jordan during the NBL1 off-season competition, the BSBL, with the Eaton Eagles, and he quickly established himself as one of the most reliable and driven players on our roster. He even won the Rising Star Award of the entire league. Jordan is a true three-level scorer. He has the ability to finish at the rim with strength and control, knock down perimeter shots with confidence and create his own offense in the mid-range. He is especially dangerous in big moments, showing a natural ability to make tough, timely shots when the team needs them most. His ball-handling is composed and confident, allowing him to operate effectively in both structured and broken-play situations. What separates Jordan is not just his scoring ability, but his mindset. He plays extremely hard every possession and is always willing to do whatever it takes to win. Defensively, he takes pride in his role, bringing intensity and focus that sets the tone for the team. His size, effort and commitment make him a strong defensive presence in the backcourt. Jordan is also a natural leader. He leads by example through his work ethic, competitiveness and team-first attitude. His presence positively impacts teammates, and he consistently elevates the standard of those around him. Simply put, Jordan Wayne is one of my favourite players I have ever coached. His combination of talent, toughness, and leadership makes him an invaluable asset to any program.
