Evaluations

Jaidyn Gibbs is an exceptional student-athlete whose 4.0 GPA underscores her dedication to excellence both in the classroom and on the field – a combination that will serve her well at the NCAA level. As a versatile defensive standout, Jaidyn commands CF with remarkable speed and precision, using her 3.18 Home-to-1st speed (13.01 Home-to-Home). Her quick feet and explosive first step allow her to track deep fly balls with ease and close gaps other players cannot. Jaidyn’s 60 mph arm provides a formidable advantage, cutting down advancing runners and preventing extra bases. At shortstop, she demonstrates outstanding range to both sides and an instinctive ability to read hitters, ensuring she’s always in position to make a play. Offensively, Jaidyn is a dynamic threat who excels at placing bunts and hitting consistent line drives up the middle. Her love of aggressive baserunning turns singles into scoring opportunities, showcasing the instincts and confidence that define elite competitors.   Beyond her athletic skills, Jaidyn is an inspiring leader and the emotional cornerstone of her team. Known as the “Queen of the Dugout Cheers,” she infuses her environment with contagious positivity, while her communication skills on the field keep teammates focused and engaged. Jaidyn thrives under pressure, often stepping up to shut down the opposing team’s top hitters and delivering clutch performances in critical moments. Coaches universally praise her coachability, maturity and commitment to continuous growth – a mindset shaped in part by her family’s collegiate athlete legacy. Her competitive drive is matched by her strategic approach to the game; whether she’s orchestrating defensive alignments or executing smart base running decisions, Jaidyn’s high softball IQ is evident in every inning. Her blend of academic excellence, athletic versatility and unshakable character makes her an ideal candidate for NCAA programs seeking a true student-athlete who will elevate her team on and off the field. — Susan Kemper, ScoutU Softball Scout, Susan@ScoutU.com, 604-808-5215

Message from Jaidyn

My name is Jaidyn Gibbs, and I am a 2029 recruit. I’m playing varsity at Centennial High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. At 5-foot-6, I play centerfield (60 mph overhand) and I am a utility player, so you can put me anywhere you need me! In 2025, I was an Exact Sports 14U All-American. My GPA is 4.0. One interesting thing about me is that both of my parents played for the University of Kentucky. My mom received a softball scholarship, while my dad earned a football scholarship. They met there and I was born at the University Hospital!   The first thing coaches recognize about me is my speed (3.18 home to first) and that I’m an aggressive base runner who will take advantage of extra bases if I can. I am always loud and big on communicating with my team. I stand out more than most girls because I don’t only want to win or just have fun, I like to do both at the same time. I am extremely competitive. I don’t believe that softball is just about playing the game and hoping for the best, but understanding that you have a job to do for your team’s success. I want to walk off the field knowing that I played my role to my full potential.   Having two parents who played at the elite level makes me that much more motivated. They are heavily involved in both mine and my brother’s athletic development, physically and more importantly, mentally. Outside of practices and games, I work on my hitting and agility with my private coach, and I work on strength and my mentality at home. I do these things every week, knowing that I have a goal in mind. I constantly try to improve my skills and contribute to my team’s success. I’m excited about the chance to play at the collegiate level, where I can continue to develop my skills while making a positive impact both on and off the field.   Thank you so much for taking the time to read about me. I really appreciate your interest in my softball journey. I hope to hear from you and maybe even get the chance to visit your school one day!
