Brooklyn Feller

My name is Brooklyn Feller, and I am a 2028 point/shooting guard at Appleton East HS in Wisconsin. I play club basketball with the Wisconsin Blizzard. It has been an exciting process evaluating colleges to attend and play basketball for after high school. In me, you will get a tireless worker, energetic teammate, a solid shooter, a willing rebounder, and someone with a never-give-up attitude. I am the 11th-ranked 2028 combo guard in the state, according to Prep Girls Hoops.   Last year as a sophomore I was a big part of my team, averaging about 18 minutes a game off the bench. We made it all the way to State Sectionals and were Regional Champions. I was important to the team because I came into the game and played any position I was asked to, even if it wasn’t my natural position. I feel that helping the team wherever needed most is my best trait. and it’s why I work on playing every position when I practice. Along with good shooting and ball handling, my biggest asset to my AAU team this year was limiting turnovers (0.8 per game – a team best). I value possession of the basketball, making good passes and putting my teammates in a position to score. My hardworking attitude also carries over to the classroom, where I hold a 4.0 GPA and being a quality student-athlete is very important to me.   I started playing basketball in 2nd grade, and it has been my favorite sport since then. I am a leader on the floor and on the bench. I think that you should be your teammate’s #1 fan. I am a communicator and director on the floor because I believe communication is a key to success. As a confident left-handed player, I also work hard to become more confident in my right hand too. I want to make my weaknesses into my strengths.   During the offseason, I train with my mentor Emily LaChapell (Belmont University and now UW-Oshkosh), who works with me on many skills and drills. This summer/fall I will also be working with Jordan Johnson of Grit360. I believe that strength & conditioning are important to my development. I spend time at my local gym, work with my school’s strength coaches and have sports-specific workouts at Motus RX in the offseason. At my school I am involved in Key Club and DECA, where I can give back to my community and grow off the court.   Thank you for your time viewing my profile, and I hope we can talk in the future!
