A mistake many athletes make when considering D3 schools

CAPTIONS:

“One of the biggest mistakes in recruiting is athletes that don’t consider NCAA Division III schools because they think they can’t get any scholarship money.

Athletes can’t get athletic scholarships to play D3, but all other types of scholarships, including academic, are still options.

Many of the top academic schools are D3 schools, so for those athletes who are strong academically these are excellent options for them and are schools where they likely can get at least some academic scholarship money.

Believe it or not, sometimes D2 — and even D1 schools — lose out on a recruit, because they can’t match the scholarship package a D3 school offered the athlete.”
