Which athletes are most likely to get athletic scholarships?

CAPTIONS:

“Landing an athletic scholarship is the goal of every athlete, but who gets these scholarships?

Most NCAA Division I schools no longer have scholarship limits, rather they have roster limits.

NCAA Division II still has scholarship limits and most of those scholarships are partial scholarships.

To land an athletic scholarship, athletes need to be on college’s radars as early as possible.

Also, the athletes that get scholarships aren’t necessarily the best athletes, but the athletes that are being recruited the most and have the most competition for them.

Why? Because if a college has limited scholarships left, their best strategy is to offer those scholarships to athletes who have other offers rather than make an offer to an athlete who has no offers and no competition.”
