College coaches recruit athlete’s parents, too

CAPTIONS:

“When college coaches are recruiting an athlete, they also are recruiting his or her parents.

Whether a college coach recruits an athlete could depend on if the coach likes the athlete’s parents. And this is a bigger factor, the closer the athlete is to the college.

Why? Because the college coach will then have to interact with the parents more often the closer the school is. So, parents remember that you also need to impress the college coaches for your son or daughter to get recruited.”
