For the vast majority of athletes, just playing club or AAU isn’t the magic ticket to get recruited.

All athletes that are serious about playing in college likely play club or AAU, so that doesn’t make you stand out more than any other athlete who is playing club or AAU.

I’ve been do hundreds of club and AAU tournaments in my 18 years of recruiting, and I’ve seen many fields or courts with zero college coaches watching.

Playing club or AAU gives you more opportunities to get seen by college coaches, but it certainly doesn’t guarantee you will be recruited.”
