Rudy Meza, who lives in Latana, Texas in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, is a Texas native and born and raised with deep roots in small-town athletics and a family background in education and coaching. Rudy earned opportunities to play both football and basketball at the collegiate level before choosing to attend Trinity University in San Antonio as a point guard. During his time at Trinity, he expanded his athletic career to include track and football. Rudy has coached and trained athletes since 2009, focusing primarily on basketball. He spent 5 years as an instructor with Point Guard College where he helped develop athletes from across the country. Over the years, he has coached at the middle school, high school and club levels and has trained numerous athletes who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level and beyond.

At Trinity, Rudy became a conference champion in the javelin and a three-time All-Conference performer in track. On the football field, he played safety and was part of four conference championship teams, culminating in a national championship appearance in 2002.

Rudy continues to work closely with athletes in basketball skill development and strength training, with a strong emphasis on developing high-level female athletes. His experience includes working with college and professional players, as well as mentoring those striving to reach that level.

Off the court, Rudy is a devoted husband to his wife, Sarah, and a proud father of two daughters who are both high-level basketball players navigating their own recruiting journeys. His oldest daughter, Peyton, has multiple NCAA Division I offers. This first-hand experience gives Rudy a unique and personal perspective on the recruiting landscape.

As a scout, Rudy is passionate about identifying talent, telling athletes’ stories and helping connect them with programs that are the right fit — not just athletically, but culturally and academically. His mission is to support athletes in turning their hard work and dedication into real opportunities at the next level.
