Mark Tegels, who lives in Des Moines, Iowa, has more than three decades of coaching excellence, having served as a varsity coach in football, baseball and softball. He is a retired teacher after teaching 4th, 5th and 6th grades for 33 years. His coaching career includes being part of two state championship teams and three state runner-up finishes in Iowa’s highest class. Mark has coached at City High in Iowa City and Johnston High School. In 2003, he coached the Iowa High School Elite Softball All-Star Team to the Tri-State championship.

A dedicated athlete himself, Mark was a 4-year letterman in baseball at Wayne State College, an NCAA Division II school in Nebraska, as a catcher. He was a four-sport athlete at Fonda High School, earning numerous all-conference and all-state honors in multiple sports.

Throughout Mark’s coaching tenure, he has guided dozens of athletes to all-state selections and has helped numerous athletes secure spots in NCAA Division-I programs.
