Heidi Ackerley, who lives in Myrtle Beach, SC and is originally from upstate New York, is a dedicated athletics educator and coach. She is a former two-sport collegiate athlete in soccer and basketball who advanced from JUCO to NCAA Division II and earned Female Athlete of the Year honors at Jefferson Community College (NY). Heidi brings an authentic understanding of the student-athlete journey from both a competitive and coaching perspective.

Heidi spent 8 years teaching physical education across two New York high schools, (Onondaga Central and Shenendehowa Central), earning tenure at both while building a diverse coaching career that includes varsity soccer, JV basketball, varsity softball, varsity lacrosse, modified volleyball and modified field hockey. Known for leadership and program development, Heidi has twice been recognized as Soccer Coach of the Year at Onondaga Central for her program’s success and athlete growth.

Heidi also served as team leader for Tour de Cure, where she guided teammates through planning, strategy and execution in high-pressure environments. Through clear communication, accountability and collaboration, she helped motivate and unify her team while navigating challenges and achieving shared goals.

Heidi is a mother of three athletes. Jaden (24 years old) was a three-sport high school athlete in football, downhill skiing and track and field at Shenendehowa Central. Ty (18) played soccer year around for two clubs (ECRL Wilmington Hammerheads, NC; and Coast FA, SC) as well as for his high school Atlantic Collegiate Academy. Tia (16) continues to play soccer year round for ECNL at the Wilmington Hammerheads in NC as well as for her high school (Atlantic Collegiate Academy). Heidi brings personal insight into the college recruiting process and understands the importance of finding the right fit academically, athletically and socially. She works closely with families to emphasize character, communication and sustainable development as part of long-term athletic success.

Heidi resides with her husband, Marc, and their three children. Outside of attending athletic events, she devotes her time to sport-specific personal and group training, helping athletes build confidence, strength and healthy habits to succeed both on and off the field.
