Clay Wisner, who lives in Bellefontaine, Ohio, played multiple levels of collegiate baseball over multiple levels for 5 years. During his collegiate career, Clay played two full seasons and a covid season at NCAA Division-II Malone University in Ohio. Following graduation, Clay entered the transfer portal to seek a master’s degree while continuing his collegiate baseball career. Although multiple NCAA DI offers were extended, Clay ultimately decided to go to Bluefield University (NAIA) based on scholarships, NIL opportunities, facilities and coaching staff. While at Bluefield, he led the program to its first national ranking in school history. Along with baseball accolades at Bluefield, he also obtained his MBA with a specialty in healthcare administration. Following his career at Bluefield, Clay signed a professional free-agent contract with the Grand Junction Rockies. After his time in Colorado, Clay coached at the Tony Gwynn Baseball Academy in San Diego, Calif. Clay’s passion for the game of baseball continues as he coaches various age levels in private lessons.
Most recently, Clay served as the business manager for an oral surgery practice in Central Ohio. Clay decided to become a scout to help guide the younger generation through the recruiting process to achieve their goals and dreams. He feels strongly that since he has been through the recruiting process multiple times including during the NIL era, he is very closely connected with today’s recruiting market. He is excited to be sharing his knowledge, experience and to give back to the younger generations.
