Evaluations

6-6 SF Thomas Meyer from Liberty Christian Academy (Missouri) was a special player to watch this season against Rivers of Life and Lighthouse Prep. He showcased multiple 2-hand dunks on the break. What really impressed me was his versatility to play multiple positions both on the offensive and defensive ends. With his athleticism, length, ball handling and shooting ability, he is best positioned at the 2 or 3. Thomas showed multiple pull-up jumpers and has a variety of nice crossovers and 1-2 combos to get by his defender and finish downhill. Due to his great length and athleticism, he was able to showcase his defense by getting steals for dunks or blocked shots at the rim. He also had many deflections in passing lanes with his long arms.   Thomas brings strong coordination and shooting ability. Has a long frame and is lanky, which makes it hard for normal guards (6-0 to 6-3) to guard him. He has a high release on his shot and gets off the ground pretty well. Also uses a soft touch and demonstrated multiple unorthodox finishes around the basket slithering around defenders. Thomas can score the basketball from outside to inside. He does a great job rebounding and is a really special passer to open teammates. Due to his ball handling ability and length, he makes it hard for defenders to stay in front, which results in the collapse of the defense or double teams.   I enjoyed watching this kid play. He also does a good job in the classroom holding a 3.0 GPA. This kid has some serious potential! — DJ Blanks, ScoutU Basketball Scout, DJ@ScoutU.com, 216-990-8617

Message from Tommy

My name is Tommy Meyer, and I’m from a small town and attend Liberty Christian Academy in Wright City, Missouri. I’m a 2026 graduate and have a 3.2 GPA, planning to major in Physical Education. At 6-foot-6, I’m a guard/forward with strong ball-handling skills, efficient passing ability and a high basketball IQ. I’m averaging 11.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.8 blocks a game during my senior year. I was named Defensive Player of the Year during my junior year. I understand the game at a high level, read the floor well and make smart decisions under pressure. I stay composed in big moments and do not fold when the game speeds up. My size and awareness allow me to guard multiple positions, anticipate plays and stay disciplined within team defensive schemes.   I am committed to constant improvement and actively identify my weaknesses to turn them into strengths. I train 5 days a week, often early in the morning or late at night, showing my dedication and discipline. My work ethic is consistent. During the summer, I participated in a church-based program focused on developing strong character and work ethic. This experience helped shape my leadership, accountability and mindset both on and off the court.   Thank you for your time and for the opportunity to share my journey and goals as a basketball player.
