Evaluations

2028 PG Thea Wybensinger from Ohio is a baller. Recently she attended Port Clinton High School, but due to school participation she’s decided to transfer schools to Margaretta High School. She’s an outstanding outsider shooter, and it’s money every time it goes off her fingers. Very nice shooting form. Plays with passion and heart. She is also a great finisher around the basket and knows how to score in different ways with scoop layups, strong finishes over bigs and touch floaters around the basket.   Thea has solid leadership for her age, and I see her coming into a big time role this season as a sophomore – really flourishing as a playmaker and shot taker. She’s solid defensively and plays to win. In the coming years, Thea Wybensinger will be a name to watch! — DJ Blanks, ScoutU Basketball Scout, DJ@ScoutU.com, 216-990-8617

Message from Thea

I am Thea Wybensinger, a 5-foot-5 point guard from Margaretta High School in Castalia, Ohio. Graduating in 2028, I have a 3.93 GPA and plan to major in sports medicine. During my freshman year, I earned All-District 2nd team, started every game (except senior night) and averaged 11 points per game. My step-back 3-pointer is a strength in my game, along with being a versatile player who plays both ends of the court with 100% effort on every play. Some of my other strengths on the court are my form, mechanics, rebounding, passing and sideline views, which set me apart from other players.   Both on and off the court, I am considered a leader. My coaches and teachers consider me a role model and a student-athlete they can count on. I am a very dedicated athlete and I have a strong work ethic. Outside of my scheduled practices, I am always working to improve. Every day on my own, I work on ball handling for 15-20 minutes in the morning, I work on shooting for 45-60 minutes, and after that I go on runs for at least 30 minutes. Towards the evening, I go back outside and keep working on ball handling and shooting.   Last year and this year I am taking Honors English and will continue to work hard in the classroom. I am also currently taking a leadership class to continue improving my leadership skills. It is my dream to play for a dedicated and studious college like yours!   Thank you for your time, and I look forward to talking with you soon.
