LINCOLN SOUTHWEST H.S. 2020 Varsity letter 2019 Varsity letter

Taylor Fritz is a very athletic 2022 IFC with the ability to pitch. Standing 5-foot-10 and running a 2.8 to 1st, she has the ability to hit multiple home runs in a season. Definitely passes the eye test. Taylor has a big arm with a 63 mph OH velo. Because of her speed, she could definitely be an asset in the outfield as well. Her speed allows her to hit early in the lineup, but she’s a solid 5-hole hitter with a high OBP. She holds a 4.0 GPA and all of the intangibles a coach would want. She projects well and I can see her being an asset on any program. — Jason Lauren, ScoutU Scout, 414-303-7607 (cell), Jason@ScoutU.com

Message from Taylor

My name is Taylor Fritz and I am a 2022 1B/UT/RHP at Lincoln Southwest High School in Nebraska. I am 5-10 and primarily play first base for my high school team, but on my summer travel team (Nebraska Quakes Prime), my coach has the confidence to use me in multiple positions. I also can disrupt an offense with my drop ball and off-speed pitching. In the box, I bring a strong bat and have an excellent on-base percentage.   Athletics and academics are important to me. I’ve taken several AP classes and currently own a 4.0 GPA. I successfully passed the AP Human Geography test as a sophomore. In addition to being a member of the track & field team, I’m also on the honor roll and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I enjoy volunteering at the City Mission and with the Quakes organization helping coach younger softball teams.   My coaches often tell me I am a very versatile and athletic player. I’m a hard worker, good listener and always willing to do whatever I can for the success of my team. Off the field, I work hard to improve my skills – putting in extra hitting, fielding and pitching time, practicing on my own or with private coaches. I always want to be ready for whatever my team needs. Whether I am on the field or not, I maintain a positive attitude, constantly encouraging my teammates and celebrating our team’s success. I value the fact that I’m an excellent team player with a positive attitude, and I try to portray that both on and off the field.   I have been playing softball since I was 8 years old. I have a brother and sister who both participated in sports at the college level. However, their paths were a little different than mine, as they were members of track & field teams. My love and success with softball has driven me to play while continuing my education. Thank you for reading my profile, and I can’t wait to hear from you so we can discuss what I can bring to your team.
