Cole Scanlon

I’m Cole Scanlon, and I attend Amherst Marion L. Steele HS in Ohio. A member of the 2027 Class, I currently hold a 3.8 cumulative GPA and am undecided on my major. On the court, I take pride in my ability to shoot at a high level (23.5 PPG during AAU), handle pressure, and take care of the basketball. I have strong court vision, make unselfish passes to find open teammates, and use my size and athleticism effectively to finish at the rim.   What makes me unique is my ability to learn quickly and apply what I see and study to my game. I not only love playing basketball, but I also enjoy watching and learning from different types of players and styles of play. Outside of practice, I consistently put in extra work by getting in the gym or working out in my driveway. During the offseason, I spend at least 2-3 hours every day focusing on shooting and skill development, including ball handling, improving my off hand, and scoring from different spots on the floor. Throughout the summer, I spend a lot of time playing pickup basketball at local parks and courts to compete against new players and continue to challenge myself.   Academically, I push myself by taking Honors and College Credit Plus (CCP) courses and have earned High Honor Roll recognition.
