Alissa Smitheram

Alissa Smitheram is an academically strong student-athlete with a 3.5 GPA, balancing the demands of varsity athletics with proven success in the classroom. On the field, she is a versatile utility player, excelling primarily as a catcher with a 1.8 pop time, while also contributing confidently at 3B and across nearly every position. Her defensive skills are complemented by her powerful arm, quick reaction time, and ability to see the whole field with clarity and control. At the plate, Alissa demonstrates an advanced swing, consistently hitting hard line drives and ground balls into gaps to move runners, while also continuing to build on her power potential. She combines speed, agility and strength to make an impact in all facets of the game, showing tools that translate directly to success at the next level.   What makes Alissa stand out even further are her intangibles. Despite often being one of the youngest athletes on her team, she naturally assumes a leadership role, guiding pitchers and teammates with her strong voice and commanding presence behind the plate. She has a high softball IQ, anticipating not just the play but the next play, and thrives under pressure situations where her composure and decision-making shine. Alissa is a student of the game, constantly seeking improvement through lessons, camps and training outside of team practices. Her work ethic, humility, and competitive drive are balanced with a positive energy that teammates rely on, both in the dugout and on the field.
