Kiah Frydenlund is no stranger to winning. During both her junior and senior seasons, she helped Sun Prairie East reach the WIAA State Championship. Frydenlund plans to continue her winning ways with her commitment to another strong program, the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

“What stood out about Superior was Coach Fracker!” Kiah said. “She was so supportive and caring with her words. I am super excited to play in college. I have been looking up to all the collegiate athletes for so many years, and now it’s finally my turn for girls to look up to me – and it just makes me so happy.”

One of those players Kiah looks up to is her sister Kaylie, a ScoutU alumni who played for the University of Minnesota-Duluth this year.

UW-Superior has won 30+ games three of the last four seasons, capturing UMAC titles during 2022 and 2025.

“I’m so happy Kiah found a good fit for her at UW-Superior!” ScoutU’s Jason Lauren said. “I’m confident she will be a standout player there. She not only excels in the circle with a 62 mph fastball, but she’s also a threat at the plate with her fast hands and 71.7 mph exit velocity.”

Frydenlund batted over .500 during her junior campaign, racking up 8 doubles. She collected more than 10 offers during her recruiting process.

“Since joining ScoutU, I have had so many emails and calls with coaches – easily over 30,” she said.

Frydenlund, like hundreds of other ScoutU prospects, is grateful to have explored all her college options and found an excellent match.
