Grace Jackson, who lives in Canton, OH, has made a strong name for herself in the softball world. After a successful playing and coaching career at the University of Northwestern Ohio (NAIA), she then went on to become the head softball coach at Lake Erie College (NCAA Division II). Growing up, she was a three-sport athlete in softball, basketball and volleyball. As a player, Grace was a 5-year starter as a centerfielder from 2016 to 2021 with a career batting average of .380. In 2017, she was named 1st-Team NFCA All-Region and 1st-Team All-Wolverine-Hooser Athletic Conference. In 2018, she was named to the 2nd-Team All-WHAC and WHAC All-Defensive Team. In 2019, she was named to the 2nd-Team NFCA All-Region and 1st-Team All-WHAC, and in 2020 was named to the 1st-Team All-WHAC and All-Defensive Team.
Upon graduation, Grace joined UNOH as a full-time assistant in charge of the outfielders and hitting, in addition to being the head coach of the JV program. She was also responsible for the program’s extensive youth camps and coordinating recruiting. During the 2021-2022 campaign, the Racers reached program heights with a 16-6 conference record. She was also instrumental in recruiting 13 new varsity and 15 new JV student-athletes for the 2022-2023 season.
During her time at Lake Erie College, Grace brought in top talent from all across the nation to help build her own program at the Division II level at the age of 23. As a former athlete transitioning to the strenuous daily tasks of creating a successful program as head coach, she has learned to see college sports from a different angle. She also helped multiple athletes earn all-conference honors in a competitive conference and helped the team break multiple records.
Grace earned her bachelor’s degree in sports marketing and management (2020) and master’s in business administration (2022).
