Zoey Lorenzana

My name is Zoey Lorenzana, and I attend Chino Hills High School graduating in 2028. I am currently 5’4” and weigh 120 pounds. I play centerfield for Athletics Mercado Walker 2028; however, I can play all outfield positions. I am a triple threat excelling at swinging away with power, power slaps, bunting and chops. My speed sets me apart with a Home-1st time of 2.8 seconds, and I am the designated base runner.   Qualities that set me apart are my leadership skills, perseverance and tenacity. I work out with a speed and agility coach, perform home gym workouts, practice at the park and bat in my garage (often partnering with my parents as a resource). I typically practice every day after school, focusing on gaining muscle through various workouts, hitting in my net, playing catch or focusing on the small things such as footwork.   I bring my sports mindset and dedication to the classroom, currently maintaining a 4.16 GPA. My goal is to major in biology and become a physician’s assistant. Despite softball taking a lot of my time, I stay committed to my academics. As a freshman, I’m taking one AP class, 2 honors classes, and one class dedicated to the Health Science Academy at my school. I plan to take several more AP classes in my next 3 years of school. In 2024, I earned the Gold Presidential Honors award for maintaining a 4.0 all throughout middle school. I also was accepted into the Health Science Academy during my freshman year in high school. I perform community service in my hometown and plan to apply to internships at hospitals through my Health Science Academy program.   Thank you for taking the time to view my profile!
