Message from Zoe

My name is Zoe Malcolm and I’m a 2029 recruit who will be attending Terry Fox High School in British Columbia, Canada. I am 5-foot-5 and weigh 135 pounds. Pitching (60 mph) last season, I struck out 134 batters in 61.2 innings. I also play third base for my clubs – Synergy Premier Travel Team and the Tri-City Titans 15A. I would like to major in Veterinary Sciences and currently have proficient marks with a 4.0 GPA. I started playing softball at age 5, and it has been my dream to play college ball ever since. I have been striving towards that goal and giving 110% since then. I believe that when it comes to big moments in games, I excel under pressure and deliver when my team needs it.   In games I’m able to calm myself down and focus on the process. This helps me to stay focused and produce great results. Outside of practice, I attend private strength training, private pitching practice, batting practice with the former Canadian National Team head coach, pitching practice with my dad and see a sport psychologist to focus on mental readiness. I take part in those events once or twice per week.   In my off time, I play basketball in a league and I volunteer whenever I can including at a seniors home. I have always been looked at as a leader on my softball teams and in school. The principal of my school recommended that I attend the annual Leadership Conference representing my school. My coach also told me that he wants me to be a leader on the team each year. I love starting the cheers for my team and firing them up before, during and after the game. I work very hard to perfect the things that I do and my mindset is always to give it 110%.   I want to thank you for your time in viewing my profile. I hope we can talk about softball in the near future.
