Message from Zoe

My name is Zoe Centrone, and I am a 2028 LHP/CF from Georgetown District High School in Ontario, Canada. I am 5-foot-7 and 125 pounds. My ability to make accurate throws to home plate and track hits into the gaps make me an agile centerfielder. I am also passionate about pitching, constantly refining my skills in throwing a deceptive changeup, curveball and drop ball. What sets me apart is my mental toughness – I thrive in challenging moments and use pressure as fuel to perform at my highest level, making me a reliable and impactful player on my teams.   I am a special athlete because of my commitment to improvement and my ability to stay focused under pressure. When I am not at practice, I continue conditioning 4-5 times a week to get stronger.  I also go to weekly hitting and pitching sessions with a private coach, and we do a lot of mental conditioning in our sessions. My hard work has paid off, as I’ve won Tournament MVP multiple times and I also won the Player of the Year award for my travel volleyball team.   Academically, I maintain a 3.7 GPA while balancing my athletic commitments. I am interested in combining my love for visual arts and children and focus on Art Therapy as a career. My ability to manage both schoolwork and athletics has helped me develop strong time management skills and resilience. I take on leadership roles, both on and off the field, supporting my teammates by staying positive, encouraging them during tough times, and celebrating their successes. I volunteer in my community, helping to shovel driveways, scorekeeping for the local flag football club, and ensuring tournaments run smoothly.   I am involved in volleyball, badminton and track & field, and I enjoy playing the clarinet, singing in the choir, and visual arts. I also enjoy baking and meal prepping. These different interests help shape me into a well-rounded individual who is ready to contribute on and off the field.   Thank you for your time and consideration. My athletic abilities, dedication to improvement, and academic accomplishments make me a great candidate for your program.
