2025 SG Wesley Mboga from the Wisconsin Playmakers is a solid player who is very diverse. He showcased a ton of attributes for a college prospect. I was really impressed with his driving to the basket with strong finishes, including soft-touch floaters over taller defenders, and his movement without the basketball to create cuts and back doors for easy baskets. At 6-foot-3, Wesley also has solid shooting form and can knock down jump shots and catch-and-shoot 3s. Things that really impressed me about Wesley were his toughness, defensive grit, and his polished footwork down low to punish guards with his size/strength. He can get bigs off their feet with his up-and-unders and spin pump-fakes. He is coachable and willing to learn and improve. Wesley handles business off the court with a 3.5 GPA. Wesley does need to improve on his shooting consistency and taking over the game, but outside of that he has a ton of potential and has a full skill set.

My name is Wesley Mboga, and I’m a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wing from Eau Claire, WI. I will be a 2025 graduate at Eau Claire Memorial High School and also travel with the Wisconsin Playmakers UA Rise 17U. I’m a great cutter and a good catch-and-shoot shooter (team-leading 15.1 points/game as a senior), but I prioritize defending the other team’s best guy and locking them up (I was named Defensive Player of the Year in high school). I also love to hustle on the boards, especially offensive rebounds (lead the team with 6.1 RPG). I have a 3.5 GPA that has increased every year since my freshman year, and plan to major in interior design in college.
I’m a team player and always positive – no matter what, I’m always positive, even if we didn’t play well as a team or I struggled personally. I love to work hard. I’m always getting in extra work after practice, and in the summer I’m doing 2-3 workouts per day. I also enjoy giving back to the community, such as helping out my high school coaches with the summer youth camps for basketball and soccer.
