Evaluations

2027 PG Tavione Iverson is a special player from Buchtel High School in Ohio. The guard is very shifty and quick with his ball handling moves to get past defenders. He is a flashy guard with a humble game and personality. Tavione’s shooting ability is very good for a freshman with his consistency and his form. He is also an extremely good passer because he draws so much attention being hard to guard, creating double teams which then leads to highlight plays for his team. Once he makes his quick 1-2 dribble move blowing by the defender, it’s either a nice finish or a beautiful pass to an open man.   This freshman point guard plays like a senior at times. The only thing I would say Tavione needs to improve on is taking the game over more and being that go-to guy. Buchtel won a state title last year, and if they’re going to do it again Tavione will have to be aggressive. He for sure has the talent to play at the next level because not too many kids can play so smooth and confident at his age while having so much poise on the court. Tavione never gets rattled – he handles pressure very well and you can trust him as the point guard for your program. — DJ Blanks, ScoutU Basketball Scout, DJ@ScoutU.com, 330-466-9539

Message from Tavione

I’m Tavione Iverson, a class of 2027 PG from Buchtel CLC in Ohio. I stand 5-foot-7 and weigh 135 pounds. I currently own a 2.6 GPA and am a student-athlete excited about my future playing at the next level. During my freshman year I played with the JV and varsity squads, averaging 13 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds for the JV.   I am a young leader for the team, and I love to get my teammates involved in the game. Basketball has been my go-to since the age of 2. I had hoops at every family member’s home, so it seems as if I’ve never had to work hard at basketball because it naturally came to me. I know with hard work and determination I could really be great at this game. My vision of the court is my greatest asset in my opinion. Whenever I have free time, I love to be in the gym.   Thank you for taking the time to learn a few things about me. I am looking forward to talking with you more.
