Shawna Beatty

6-foot-3 Shawna Beatty from Liberty High School in Pennsylvania is a must-see player and recruit! This is a high-level athlete with nothing but potential and a ton of upside! She is a multi-dimensional player who can do a little bit of everything – from walling up and blocking shots, to knocking down jumpers, finishing strong in the post due to her strength, and show off her amazing passing ability. While considered a “big,” I honestly can’t tell with her passing ability. She sees plays before they happen and makes the nicest assists to her teammates , including no-look passes, pick-and-roll or finding the open girl on the wing for a shot.   She is a force in the paint and a definite intimidator down low (I watched the other team not even drive to the basket the whole 4th quarter because Shawna was down there handling her own!). She is great at 15-18 footers, and her ball handling is just as impressive for her size! On the offensive end, she’s a bully in the paint and especially on box-outs rebounding.   Shawna for sure has D1 potential. She is very hardworking, has a great attitude about the game and is a very good teammate as well.
