Sam Forslund

My name is Sam Forslund and I’m in the class of 2026 in Middleton, Wisconsin. I have a strong drive to play golf at the collegiate level. I currently attend Middleton High School where I’ve competed on varsity for the past two seasons. My scoring average is 74.7, my driving distance is 300 yards, and I’m ranked in the top-10 for our state’s 2026 Class (Wisconsin.Golf). Academically, I maintain a 3.48 unweighted GPA, and I am interested in majoring in business or finance in college.   This spring, I shot a 68 at the Quad Cities Classic and a 70 during the Spartan Invite. A couple highlights from last year include shooting 67 (-5) in the first round of the Mike Schnaar Junior Championship and finishing 3rd (74-75) at the Charleston Junior Open on the Hurricane Tour. In terms of my golf game, I consider my ball striking (65% GIR) and putting to be my strengths (32 putts/round).   What sets me apart from my competitors is my competitive drive, which fuels my confidence and motivates me to constantly improve my game. During the season, I practice 4-6 times a week and work out 3-4 times a week. My workouts combine mobility exercises with strength training. Outside of school and golf, I stay involved in my community by volunteering with the Second Harvest food pantry, and teaching golf lessons to kids at our local course during the summer.   Thank you for taking time to review my profile, and I hope to talk with you soon.
