Evaluations
5-foot-7, 125 pounds. 2029 CF/2B/UT. R/R. No. 2-5 hitter. Advanced hitter and swing for such a young age (59.9 mph bat speed, 70 mph exit, 0.14 time to contact, 23.9 rotational acceleration, 22 mph and speed). Good pop and use of legs to generate power. Has power potential and can hit over the fence (3 HR during 2024-25 club season). Makes solid contact for line drives and can hit to all fields. Quick hands. Good pitch selection, oftentimes goes deep into counts and draws a lot of walks. Vast majority of her at-bats are quality at-bats (about 70%) and has high contact rate (80+%). Still an effective hitter with 2 strikes (will at least put the ball in play). Working on having better balance and staying on back leg more. In the OF, has good speed (3.18 20-yard dash), tracks the ball well and has a 55 mph arm. Can throw on a line or one hop to home plate from the OF. Working on a crow hop. At 2B, has a quick transfer and keeps the ball in front. Working on covering the base. Strong work ethic. Sees hitting coach once a week. Enjoys the grind and practicing to get better. Infectious personality (always smiling and cheering on teammates) and an excellent teammate. Always hustling. Excellent student (4.0 GPA with advanced courses).

Power: Peyton has great power at the plate and the ability to utilize it to all three fields. This makes her difficult to pitch against as well as to defend. She will take the pitch where it is delivered with strength and power.
Control/Speed: Peyton has great bat control at the plate. She can control her bat path based on the situation. For example – a runner on 3rd with 1 out, she’s able to control her path to execute a ground ball or fly ball based on the pitch to get the home. She also has a quick-twitch ability at the plate to hit all speeds.
Arm Strength: Peyton has outstanding arm strength with the ability to play RF, which in my opinion is where the strongest OF arm needs to be. She utilizes that strength from different throwing angles based on the play that needs to be made.
Improvement: Peyton is working on improving her plate discipline to pick out her pitch versus the pitcher’s best pitch. One of Peyton’s best qualities is her aggressiveness in attacking balls. She is working on being patient if she doesn’t get a pitch she can drive early in the count. Peyton is confident in her ability to get a pitch later in the count.
Work Ethic/Coachability: Peyton is the hardest working player on our team. She is working on her development daily. This means not just softball skills, but the mental game as well as dedicating herself to the weight room. She will no doubt get every ounce out of her ability.
She is very coachable and has a strong desire to be coached. Peyton seeks knowledge of the game and how to get better. She takes coaching very well and uses that feedback to grow herself as a player and leader.
