Evaluations

5-foot-2, 105 pounds. Bats L/slaps, throws R. Leadoff hitter. Excellent athlete (also was a 3-time All-State basketball player). Very good speed (2.66 20-yard dash). Versatile slapper with ability to bunt, soft slap or hard slap. Most of the time gets on base with drag bunts, followed by soft slaps. Also an effective power slapper (makes solid contact) but looking to improve consistency and power. Aggressive baserunner (oftentimes takes extra base). With speed, covers a lot of ground in the outfield. When gets on, expects to steal 2nd. Working to improve arm strength (57 mph overhand). A student of the game (studies herself and always looking to improve). Trains and gets private coaching lessons. Excellent student (4.0 GPA).

Message from Paige

My name is Paige Bodenheimer, and I am a 2B/OF in the class of 2026 at Kaukauna High School in Wisconsin (4.0 GPA). I have been named 1st-Team All-State as a freshman (.549 BA) and sophomore (.500 BA), and we won the Division 1 state title (school’s 3rd straight title) during my freshman season. I currently play with the Beverly Bandits 16U Moran. At 5-foot-2 and 105 pounds, I am a left-handed slapper and have the ability to use different types of slaps by reading the defense to get on base with my speed. Once I’m on base, I am a threat to steal every time. My speed (2.66 20-yard dash) is also beneficial on defense allowing me to cover the field and catch everything in the air or on the ground to get the out. A good number of my hits are drag bunts, making it almost impossible to get me out, depending on where I place it.

Softball is a big part of my life, and I am constantly looking for ways to improve my overall game. During the week, I have a routine to help with my slapping and defensive skills. I start with some tee work to help my eye-hand coordination for the different types of pitches I’ll see. From there, I will move to regular swings, then back to several different types of slaps I will use during a game. The slaps include soft, chop, power and drag bunt. I will generally hit about 20-30 balls for each type of slap. When I am done with my tee work, I throw a tennis ball against the wall to help improve my reaction time. Then finally, I’ll go outside to have someone throw or hit me fly balls. I also work with a slapping instructor weekly from 360U, and I take batting reps with the team weekly as well.

Outside of softball, I play basketball and run track. For basketball, I am the starting point guard for our club team, and I was selected to the All-State Team three times. I also was part of a record breaking 4×200 relay for track at my middle school in 2021. I also enjoy working with younger kids, especially young girls who are first learning to slap. During the summer and throughout the year, I also help babysit three young kids while their parents work. My academics are very important to me, as I have been part of the High Honors Honor Roll since fifth grade when they started giving us letter grades.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me, and I look forward to talking with you in the future!
