Omar Said

I’m Omar Said, a 2027 SG from Mounds Park Academy in Minnesota. I’m 6-foot-5 and average 24 points and 8 rebounds per game. Basketball isn’t just a game to me — it’s a part of my everyday life. I’m the kind of person who’s willing to get up in the middle of the night just to get a workout in, because I know what I want and I’m committed to getting there.   One of my biggest strengths is my basketball IQ and court vision. I see the floor well (4 APG), make smart plays, and know how to get my teammates involved. I also take pride in my shooting ability — I’m confident pulling up anywhere on the court.   Off the court, I’m a strong student with mostly A’s and B’s. I’m also very family-oriented and faith-driven, which helps keep me grounded and focused. People say I’m easy to get along with, and I genuinely enjoy meeting new people and building relationships.   In 8th grade (2022–2023), I was a starting guard on JV, which gave me early experience competing with older players. I know I bring something different — not just my confidence and work ethic, but also my character. I believe I can be a strong part of any college program, and I’m working hard every day to earn that opportunity and eventually make it to the NBA.
