Evaluations
2025 SG Morgan Love from Liberty Union H.S. is a player! At 5-foot-9, she’s a big-time shooter from anywhere on the floor. She has a quick release and nice shooting form. Morgan is one of those players who makes players around her better. She also plays strong on-ball defense and has a knack for the ball, getting a bunch of deflections, steals and blocks as a guard. Morgan is a very good passer and always makes the great play, not the good play, for her team.
I was really impressed with her consistently strong finishes with contact around the basket. This is a tough girl and player with true love for the game. She does need to improve on being a better ball handler to create more scoring opportunities for herself, as well as taking over the game when she gets hot! Her team may need her to score 20-25 points a game to go far this season, and I know she can do it because I watched her drop 11 points in one quarter. Morgan can improve on her left-hand finishes around the basket to become more of a creative scorer.
She could easily play at the D2 level, and she also handles business off the court with a 3.6 GPA. Morgan is looking to major in animal science and further her basketball career. This is a solid student-athlete to recruit for many programs.
