Maria Tomova

PG Maria Tomova from Hyde School (Maine) is a special player to watch. Has the confidence, toughness and skill to back it up! Very good at getting downhill and attacking the basket, finishing strong over bigger defenders or punishing smaller guards. She is very active defensively and will put pressure on and off the ball.   What really impressed me about her game was her shooting ability in general – from pullup jump shots, step-back 3-pointers, hesitation pullups and spin fadeaways – this girl has some serious game. Maria definitely has D1 potential and can score in multiple ways. She has great leadership qualities as a point guard.   Also does a great job in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA! Maria is a phenomenal passer, finding an open teammate when blowing past her defender with her speed and handles. Ball handling is very strong and very few turnovers in games. Will be a great fit for any high-level program looking for a strong guard to score when needed and lead the team when needed. Very coachable and an extremely hard worker.   Maria is an international student from Bulgaria who traveled to America to pursue a basketball scholarship at a D1 college.
