Evaluations

5-foot-6, 145 pounds. MIF/OF. R/R. Versatile (can play IF or OF). Athletic (also plays basketball and volleyball). Power potential with her very good bat speed for her age (60.5 mph bat speed, 65 mph exit). Hits No. 4 in club lineup. Uses lower half well to generate solid contact. Can hit to all fields. Working to improve balance. Strong arm (60 mph outfield, 60 mph infield, 64 mph run & gun). Good range and strong at turning double plays (smooth and accurate throws). Solid forehand. Good situational awareness. Excellent work ethic (does hitting and fielding lessons with ex-college coach, weight training and often practices on own). Very coachable. Positive attitude. Keeps energy up on team. Excellent student (4.0 GPA). — Jason Lauren, ScoutU Scout, 414-303-7607 (cell), Jason@ScoutU.com   My primary work with Kenlee over the past three-plus years has been as her hitting instructor. She’s incredibly dedicated to the game. I can always tell at our lesson that she’s spent a lot of time working on the drills we practiced during the last lesson. It’s important to her. Kenlee has a solid understanding of the mechanics of a good swing. Allows her to self-evaluate during a game/season and get back on track quickly. Her ability to hit for average is there. As she gets older and stronger, the extra-base hits are coming more frequently as well.   From a hitting standpoint, we’re working on the mental game more now. Understanding how pitchers are throwing to her. What to look for in certain situations. Swing only at pitches she can drive early in counts, etc.   Kenlee is a team player. She will do anything to help her team. No ego or entitlement attitude. Supportive of teammates especially in tough situations. Very coachable. She’s been a sponge for everything I’ve worked with her on. More of the quiet leader type. One that sets an example through her work ethic. I’ve worked with dozens of young ladies over the years, and Kenlee is easily in the top 10% of those and probably higher. As a coach, she’s someone I would love to have on my team. — Jeff West, Hitting Instructor   Kenlee is a dedicated and hardworking softball player. She is primarily a middle infielder for our program. She came in and started as a freshman, working through early struggles to grow into an All-Conference player. She has great mechanics and is a student of the game, always working to get better without needing a parent or coach to prompt her. She is a diverse athlete (playing three sports). Currently, I am working on her development as a leader for our program as she begins to step into that role over the next year. Kenlee is extremely honest and realistic with herself and me about her abilities, both athletically and as a leader. Because of this she can reflect and pinpoint her own areas for growth.   Her offensive strengths are her hitting mechanics, hitting for average, baserunning IQ and aggressiveness. Kenlee also has great arm strength and infielding mechanics on the defensive side.   We’re still working on improving Kenlee’s mental game, but she’s shown significant improvement since I began coaching her last spring. She is also working on balancing aggressiveness with good pitch selection. On defense, Kenlee will get better at staying calm and making good decisions under pressure.   Kenlee brings a positive, gritty attitude to the team. She is truthful, supportive and selfless. Willing to learn, Kenlee is very coachable and solid academically. She does not need a parent or coach prompting her to get better. She has her goals and works hard to complete them because they are important to her. — John Dickinsen, Colfax HS Coach

Message from Kenlee

My name is Kenlee Bjork, and I am a 2028 graduate from Colfax High School in Wisconsin. I am a 5-foot-6 sophomore and weigh 145 pounds. I’m a versatile softball player but primarily play middle infield and outfield. Academically, I have a 4.0 grade-point average and am ranked 8th in my class. During my freshman season (2025), I earned All-Conference honorable mention in the Dunn St. Croix Conference, and later that summer I was recognized for my throwing velocity (60 mph outfield, 60 mph infield), pull-down (64 mph), bat exit velocity (65.5 mph) and bat speed (60.5 mph) at the Showtime Future Stars Showcase. As an athlete I am driven to achieve the goals I have set through hard work, dedication and passion for the sport of softball.   I strive to improve my physical and mental ability by working independently on drills and through private lessons with highly credited instructors. In addition, I take time to focus on improving my strength and conditioning in the gym and utilizing programs such as armcare.com. Academically, I am driven to do and be my best, while I enjoy spending time on our dairy farm and umpiring for a local youth program.   I appreciate you taking the time to visit my profile, and I look forward to hearing from you.
