Evaluations

5-foot-7, 160 pounds. RHP/1B/U. Very athletic and strong (104 pounds right hand grip strength). Had a stellar freshman JUCO season, making 2nd-Team All-Region (15-5, 3.10 ERA, 117 K, 45 BB in 124.1 IP). 64 mph fastball (goal is to gain 3-5 mph for JUCO sophomore year). Consistent at hitting locations and able to mix pitches well. Curveball is best pitch and her strikeout pitch – changes speeds, can move location with good movement. Riseball is also strikeout pitch. Mixes pitches very well and keeps hitters off balance with varying speeds and locations. Has been working a lot on changeup and has seen good results. Excellent at fielding her position as a pitcher, especially covering bunts. At the plate, was primarily a PO as a freshman at Madison College, but expects to have a spot in the lineup as a sophomore. Has fast hands and usually makes solid contact (68 mph exit, 20.5 mph peak hand speed). Consistent swing (83% on plane efficiency). Working to hit to the opposite way more often. Versatile in the field (will see some time at 1B during sophomore JUCO season, also can play OF). Fast reflexes, strong backhand, plays bunts well, 64 mph run & gun arm). Leader, coachable. Knows game well and likes to teach teammates. Strong work ethic. Leader (team captain as sophomore at Madison College). Strong time management (works in school’s athletic office and fitness center) and maintains strong grades (3.7 GPA during freshman JUCO year). — Jason Lauren, ScoutU Scout, 414-303-7607 (cell), Jason@ScoutU.com

Message from Kendall

I am Kendall Weik, a sophomore at Madison College in Wisconsin. I am a 5-foot-7, 160-pound RHP. I’ve been fortunate to play multiple roles on the field – starting as pitcher-only my freshman year, and evolving into a two-way player, now also batting and playing first base. I am in the Liberal Arts transfer program (3.7 GPA) with a pre-major in Education. I am currently looking for a new program to continue my academic and athletic career because my head coach resigned at my intended NCAA Division I college (Morgan State University). I am not in the transfer portal because I haven’t attended Morgan State yet, but was granted my full release to explore other schools. While it’s been a tough transition, I’m using this as an opportunity to find a team and coaching staff who share the same passion, discipline and goals that I bring every day.   My fastball, riseball and curveball velocity are 64 mph, while my changeup is 50-53. My first season at Madison College, I was named 3rd-Team All-Region and broke the school record for strikeouts in a game (15). I also pitched a 14-inning game against Rock Valley in the Region 4 Semifinal. Last year, I broke the career strikeout record and also the single season strikeout record. I am now the holder of the game, season and career records at Madison College. I was named to the 2025 All-Region 2nd Team, while also being awarded the Softball Leadership award and also Sportsperson of the Year Award.   This summer I’ll continue competing at a high level, playing for the Madison Night Mares (Northwoods League) in a collegiate summer league. I’m excited to keep developing my game with and contribute to a competitive roster in preparation for the next chapter of my career.   I lead by example because of the intensity that I play with every day when I show up to practice or a game. I have high expectations for myself and my teammates around me. I make sure to hold myself to a higher standard to continue to learn and develop as a player because of my growth mindset. Coming from a small town has taught me so much because of how much effort I have put into improving and trusting the process of going out of my comfort zone and waiting for results. Coachability has been one of my biggest strengths in my development as a player. I am always looking to learn and how to improve my talents.   Thank you for taking the time to view my profile, and I hope we can talk soon.
