Journey Franz

My name is Journey Franz, and I am a 2026 graduate at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am 5-5 and 165 pounds, primarily playing shortstop, but I also play third, second base and catcher. My GPA is currently 3.0 at an elite academic high school and right now I would like to pursue a degree in sports science. I have a 63 mph infield velocity in addition to a 71.3 mph run-and-gun. I’ve also recorded a 73.7 mph exit velo. During my freshman and sophomore years, I earned All-Conference Honorable Mention for the infield.   What differentiates me from other athletes is how I encourage and support everyone on my team, ensuring they are always doing their best and having fun. I personally think the confidence and competitiveness I bring to the field helps my teammates, knowing I have their back on every play and will be there to pick them up when they’re down. During the offseason, I train 3-4 times a week for 2-3 hours at my team’s facility (Delta Sports Performance) from September to March. My training consists of infielding, hitting, and working on getting stronger by lifting weights. I’m planning to enroll in more challenging courses my junior year. Outside of softball, I enjoy serving my community and helping those who are less fortunate. I often do volunteer work at my church’s food pantry and an elementary school called Brown Street Academy.   Thank you for taking some time out of your day to learn about me, and I hope we talk in the future!
