Evaluations
5-foot-9, 165 pounds (athletic build). RHP/1B/OF. R/R. Throws variety of pitches (fastball, changeup, riseball, curveball, dropball) with good spin (1,350+), so can make adjustments based on how hitters are hitting her/standing in the box and what pitches she’s throwing well. Strikeout pitcher (1-2 Ks/IP). 60-64 mph fastball (hits corners and spots well). Nasty curve/drop that can throw for strikes (7.6-inch vertical, 2.8 horizontal break; 1,330 spin; can throw for strikes). Can throw changeup a variety of ways with different spins and locations). Also throws riseball as a strikeout pitch. Pushes off hard with good drag and arm speed and has consistent timing. Working on being more consistent and disguising pitches better. At the plate, makes solid contact with good power. Usually hits No. 3-5 in lineup. Generates power through hips (73 mph exit velocity). Working to improve consistency with timing. At 1B, has good extension and effective at scooping. Fields bunts well. Working to improve backhand and throwing accuracy. Smart baserunner (will take extra base). Message from Grace
Hello coach, my name is Grace Swiezynski, and I am a 2026 grad at Muskego High School in Muskego, Wisconsin. My cumulative GPA is 4.05. I’m 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds, and I love pitching, first base, and outfield — whenever my coaches need me out there. My fastball velocity was clocked at 63-64 mph in a game in July 2024, my riseball has been tested at 1,358 RPM with a 3.1-inch vertical break and my curveball has been tested at 1,330 RPM with a 7.6-inch vertical break.
Even when situations on the field are filled with pressure, I stay calm and don’t panic. I focus on the jobs that have to be done and never show negative emotion, even if I miss my spot on a pitch that gets hit or if I get a bad call. Whenever my team is in a tough situation, my positivity and encouragement for my teammates never stops. On the field and in the classroom, I’m known for being helpful and supportive of my teammates and classmates. My coaches and teachers alike appreciate how respectful I am, and how well I listen and learn from them.
Outside of games, practices and pitching lessons (with multiple teachers), I love building strength through my workouts 3-4 times/week in the off-season and 1-2 times in season. I focus on good form to get the most out of every rep. I have explosive lower and upper body strength that improves all aspects of my game.
