Dominic Francis

My name is Dominic Francis, and I attend Russia Local School in Ohio. I am a 6-foot-6, 190-pound 2025 C/F and currently hold a 3.8 GPA. I’m planning on majoring in Business Management in college. I have been an Honor Roll student throughout high school and am currently taking some college credit classes. Athletically, I’ve received the Most Improved award in multiple sports. During my junior season, I earned a varsity letter on a team that advanced to the Division 4 State Semifinals. I have a 32-inch vertical jump and 81-inch wingspan.   Some of my strengths on the court include being able to react to situations quickly, as well as communicating with and without the ball. I have good floor awareness and am confident in my skill of finishing strong at the rim. I am just as much a team player as I am an individual player, on and off the court. I pride myself in being disciplined and consistent in my everyday life as well. I am in the weight room five times a week, in the gym working on my shot and ball handling every day, all while maintaining a healthy, protein-filled diet. I love playing competitively during games, but being in an empty gym putting up shots is my sanctuary and happy place.   I am also very active within the community and school with volunteering. Over the past year, I have regularly helped a fifth grader who is struggling with reading three times a week during my personal hours, and I also work the food line at our annual community festival.   I am a unique person not just because of my athletic abilities, but also because I care for others. This includes teammates, coaches and classmates. Being raised in a very small, close-knit community, I like to believe I have values instilled in me that will carry me through the next stage of my life in a positive manner.
