Evaluations

2027 guard Daniel Chow out of Canada was impressive to watch at the Dru Joyce Classic in Cleveland. He has a great passion, swagger and skill set. Daniel stayed even-keeled the whole game and showcased his ball handling, dribble penetration to the basket, outside shooting ability and defense pressure. He has a very nice shooting form, and I can tell this kid puts a ton of hours in the gym training and working on his game.   After talking with his coach, I confirmed he’s an extremely hard worker, does the little things and has the skill to play at the next level. Daniel currently lives in Canada but will soon move to California. He is very coachable and knows how to make the right reads off a ball screen, moves without the ball pretty well and is a decent rebounder. He does need to improve on different finishes around the basket for the next level, along with a more consistent 3-point shot to be very effective.   Overall a great kid, handling his business off the court (84% academic average). Over the next couple of years, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s narrowing down a handful of colleges he wants to play for. Love his passion, heart and determination! — DJ Blanks, ScoutU Basketball Scout, DJ@ScoutU.com, 216-990-8617

Message from Daniel

My name is Daniel Chow, and I am a 2027 PG from St. Andrew’s College in Aurora, Ontario. My academic average is 84% and I hope to pursue a business degree in college. In the last few years, I have received multiple MVP awards for both school and club team ball. Undoubtedly, the strongest part of my game is my shooting ability, off the catch and dribble.   Something unique about me is that if I make a mistake, I will adjust and correct myself till I perfect what I’m trying to do. I have training sessions 1-2 times a week and a lifting workout at least once a week. Every single day, I am either on the court or in the gym. At the independent school I attend, I have won merit awards for both academics and learning skills. In addition, I take a leadership course at school and do volunteer work totaling 63 community service hours.   Thank you coach for taking the time to visit my profile, and I hope we can talk in the future.
