Brody Best

My name is Brody Best, and I am a 2028 golfer from Kimberly H.S. in Wisconsin. During my freshman year, I’ve been playing the #5 position on varsity. I am having a lot of fun and am enjoying the pressures that come with playing on varsity as a freshman. It’s been a great experience to play with the upperclassmen and learn from them. I am looking forward to what this experience will bring to my summer tournament season. I had a challenging first semester in the classroom (2.84 GPA), but my grades have all trended up this spring. I am undecided on a major but really enjoy my construction/trades classes.   I can hit the ball very far (300 yards), and my putting has gotten much better over the last few years. My scores typically range in the low to mid-80s. I’ve been golfing since I was very young. My mom told me that ever since I could walk, I was holding a little plastic golf club. My size and strength give me an immediate advantage over most of my opponents. I get asked often if I am a football player, but I don’t play any other sport – I just want to focus all my time on golf. I pride myself in showing up in times of need for my team. I am a very friendly player and enjoy supporting both my teammates and opponents during competition.   I’m working hard on my game year-round, including golf physical therapy (Motus Rx) throughout the winter. I also weightlift weekly, play in an indoor golf league and practice on the simulator whenever I can. For many years I have been working with the coaching staff at High Cliff Golf Course on a volunteer basis to help beginners with their golf game. This year I will also be coaching with the Wisconsin Junior PGA program that I used to play in.   I am a dedicated individual who has a special love for the game of golf.
