Audrey is a very good shot stopper with excellent footwork. She is composed with the ball at her feet, and defenders will play back to her without hesitation. Audrey understands the game very well and constantly communicates with her teammates. She makes good decisions with her distribution and is very reliable in building play out of the back. On top of that, I have seen her make many, many highlight-reel saves.   Audrey is well respected by her teammates and the coaching staff. When she faced a stretch of time out due to injury, Audrey never missed a session. In this period, she clearly showed her passion for her team and the game. I have no doubt that Audrey will be successful with her playing career, but I also know she will be an excellent coach in the future. — Patrick McGeachan, Surrey United Coach   Audrey Guy has been a part of the Surrey United program for many years. I’ve known Audrey as her goal keeping coach since 2015. Audrey is a two-sport athlete who also plays softball at a high level. As an athlete, Audrey is committed, hardworking, and sets high standards for herself. She trains diligently and her attendance at practices and training sessions is consistent. She sets a positive, encouraging example for all players.   Audrey has worked hard to recover from a knee injury she sustained in 2022. She demonstrated persistence and determination to regain her competitive form. Audrey is well-respected by her teammates and coaches. She is a role model for the younger players and demonstrates respect when competing. Audrey is kind, patient and conscientious. She will be an excellent addition to any setting where she can work and develop as part of a team. — Michael Hicks, Goalkeeper Coach

Message from Audrey

My name is Audrey Guy, and I am a 2025 goalkeeper from Clayton Heights Secondary School in Surrey, British Columbia. I own a 3.4 GPA and plan to major in business. I stand 5-5, and on the field I am known for my uplifting loud voice and fierce, defensive spirit. Taking charge on the pitch is one of my strengths and I don’t back down to a 1v1 challenge. I take ball distribution very seriously and consider myself our first attacker going forward when in possession of the ball. I am confidently vocal in encouraging my teammates and feel that communication is a huge part of the game.   Surrey United (Metro) has been my home club since I was 4 years old. I have made so many everlasting friendships and memories because of this sport, and I am excited for more to come! I am also grateful for the coaches I’ve had the opportunity to work with, and attribute my skillset, both mentally and physically, to what they taught me over the years.   I am a multi-sport athlete, playing softball as well, so I am always active. I train five days/week for both sports, plus attend goalie-specific training once a week. Being involved in sports within our local community is very important to me personally. I have experience assisting in coaching both sports and really enjoy mentoring younger teams and helping eager athletes enhance their skills.   Soccer has always been a major part of my life and I hope to continue playing it for as long as possible. I welcome the opportunity for you to be a part of my continued journey for the love of this awesome game. Thank you kindly for your time, and I look forward to connecting with you soon!
