Evaluations

2025 Lefty SG Adnaan Said from Minnehaha Academy (a prolific high school in MN) is a player. With his size (6-4), length and athleticism, he is a problem for many teams. At both AAU and high school, he averaged around 15 PPG. He is an overall player with athleticism – dunking on people, running the floor, passing, smooth jump shots, catch-and-shoot 3s and fluent ball handling to get to his spots.   What really impresses me about Adnaan is his grit and competitive edge on both sides of the court. He plays good on-ball defense and is athletic enough to get a couple blocked shots on guards. He is a big guard with all the potential in the world. Adnaan does need to improve on his right hand but other than that this kid is a player. I’m looking to see a huge senior year for him coming up. He will be the key component to his team and a great prospect for colleges throughout the country. This is the late bloomer that you will need to snatch up ASAP before others do! Adnaan also handles his business off the court with a 3.0 GPA including AP classes. He’s very coachable and does the little things that any coach would love. — DJ Blanks, ScoutU Basketball Scout, DJ@ScoutU.com, 216-990-8617

Message from Adnaan

My name is Adnaan Said, a 2025 SG from Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I currently have a 3.0 GPA and I’m interested in majoring in Business Analytics, which is a stepping stone for me to pursue a finance career. I’m 6-foot-4 and was voted by my team as Defensive Player of the Year during 2022-2023. Then my junior season, I received All-Conference Second Team as well as Most Improved Player. I played with Real Phenom Puma Circuit this past AAU – averaging 18 points per game. I bring defensive intensity during games, and that leads to me geting many transition points. I’m also efficient when it comes to catch-and-shoot threes. I shot 40% from three and 50% inside the arc while averaging just shy of 15 PPG during the high school season.   I’m very reliable and a student of the game. I am also a very coachable and humble person. I feel like I belong at the next level. Every morning at 6 am before school, I go to the gym and get at least 300 shots up and work on my game for 1 hour. Usually after school my team has workouts, or I go work with my trainer for 2 hours. I attend a private college preparatory school, and I’m currently taking a couple AP classes after completing multiple honors classes. Off the court, I’ve done a lot of volunteering with the youth such as basketball camps and tutoring. I like giving back and hope to do it on a bigger scale one day.   Thank you for your consideration, and I hope we can talk soon!
