Addyson Simpson

My name is Addyson Simpson, and I am a 2026 recruit from Wisconsin. As a highly motivated student-athlete with a strong work ethic, and I possess a well-rounded skill set that translates to success on the softball field. My 2 years of starting experience at Notre Dame Academy have fueled my passion for the game and my desire to compete at the collegiate level. My versatility as a utility player allows me to excel in both defensive fundamentals (64 mph IF and OF arm) and offensive production as a No. 3 or 4 hitter (1.145 OPS as sophomore; 68 mph exit, 58.7 mph bat speed), making me a valuable asset to any team. Additionally, my leadership qualities and positive attitude contribute to a strong team environment.   My defensive skill set stems from exceptional adaptability. I can seamlessly transition between positions, like outfield, shortstop, third base and pitcher, allowing me to fill any gaps the team encounters. My coaches consistently praise my willingness to learn and my ability to quickly master new skills. Offensively, I consistently hit for a high average (.462 BA as sophomore) with a knack for clutch hits under pressure. I’m proud of my ability to excel in two-strike situations and demonstrate a strong ability to put the ball in play.   My commitment to continuous improvement is evident in my year-round training regimen focusing on strength, agility and hitting mechanics. This dedication extends to my participation in three travel teams: Velocity, Tundra and Notre Dame Academy Futures. My unwavering dedication to the sport and commitment to teamwork make me a highly coachable player. I am eager to contribute to a program that shares my passion for excellence and offers an opportunity to contribute to a long-standing winning tradition.
