Evaluations

Addison Wilson is a high-performance athlete whose academic and athletic excellence make her a top-tier NCAA prospect. With a strong 3.8 GPA, she has consistently demonstrated that she values discipline and intellectual commitment. On the field, Addison brings a powerful presence as both a pitcher and utility player, particularly excelling at the corners. Her 55 mph fastball is complemented by elite-level spin and movement, developed through years of focused training with a top pitching coach. Addison’s overhand velocity reaches 50 mph, and she shows impressive agility with 1.71 10-yard and 6.08 40-yard times, underscoring her quickness and field coverage. At the plate, she is a power threat, consistently producing as a cleanup hitter (60 mph bat speed) and a keen understanding of pitch sequences and game situations. Her instincts and physical tools are a powerful combination that coaches can count on at the next level.   What sets Addison apart is her mindset, leadership and relentless drive for excellence. She is mature beyond her years, mentally tough and never rattled, maintaining composure in the circle and executing pitches with precision regardless of the game situation. A true student of the game, Addison actively studies strategy, pitching patterns and game dynamics seeking opportunities to improve. She does not dwell on outcomes and is always ready to compete and throw the next pitch with confidence. Addison is self-motivated, organized and presents herself with poise, showing strong communication skills during interviews and evaluations. Coaches describe her as unstoppable – a leader who lifts her teammates and sets the tone for performance. Her blend of academic achievement, athletic versatility and elite mental approach makes her an ideal NCAA recruit who will contribute meaningfully on and off the field. — Susan Kemper, ScoutU Softball Scout, Susan@ScoutU.com, 604-808-5215

Message from Addison

I am Addison Wilson, and I am a 2028 recruit from Da Vinci Science High School in El Segundo, California. Standing 5-foot-8, I am a RHP who can also play the corner infield. So far this season I own a .575 batting average with 14 extra-base hits. I hold a GPA of 4.0, and I am academically strong in school. Something that captures my attention about softball is how it can teach life lessons. So I can become an independent worker, a good person, and learn how to adapt to the environment around me.   What makes me a special athlete is my work ethic, determination on the field, and my striving for success. I believe coaches can teach skills to players, but you cannot teach work ethic and the ability to stay strong even when you want to quit. Outside of school, I have pitching, hitting and fielding lessons on Tuesdays, and the other days of the week I spend my time practicing and holding myself accountable for my work so I can perform on game day. I am taking Honors Geometry and Honors English because I want to be pushed to the next level in those classes. I build my character by seeking opportunities and executing my work so I can become better. I want to help others around me and work with them to achieve a final goal, while also learning more from teammates and coaches. I know that with some help along the way, I can achieve my goal of playing in college while becoming academically successful.   Thank you for taking the time to read and for your consideration to help me accomplish my goal of playing college softball.
