Aubree Itzen had the goal of playing college softball since she started at the 9U level. After putting in years of work, she was unanimously named 1st-Team All-Conference as a junior. Recently Itzen committed to play for the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, one of the top programs in NCAA Division III.

“We are excited to have Aubree in the Titan softball family!” Head Coach Scott Beyer said. “She plays the game the right way and is a really hard worker. We’re looking forward to adding her power to our lineup next year!”

The Titans qualified for the NCAA Tournament four of the last five seasons, including a trip to the D3 World Series in 2024. Beyer’s squad totaled 175 wins over those five years.

Itzen felt a connection with both the coaching staff and the current players at UW-Oshkosh. She also found the campus size to be a perfect fit. It’s a bonus that her family and friends can come watch her play – with Oshkosh being about 1 hour from her hometown of Stevens Point.

“I’m so happy Aubree found a great fit at UW-Oshkosh!” ScoutU’s Jason Lauren said. “She has power potential with her 67 mph bat speed. She did a great job doing what she needed to during her recruiting process – not only following my advice but also taking advantage of ScoutU’s program. I’m sure she will have a great career at Oshkosh!”

Last spring, Itzen hit .391 while counting 5 home runs and 37 RBI. Through ScoutU, she received hundreds of emails from colleges all across the country. All she had to do was narrow down the options and decide which one best met her priorities.

“Jason Lauren was responsive in answering our questions about the recruiting process,” Aubree’s dad Tim said. “He reminded us when to send out information before tournaments.”
