5-foot-5, 135 pounds. 3B/SS. R/R. Very high ceiling and potential (made 2nd-Team All-Conference as a freshman on a very good varsity high school program). Quick swing (67 mph exit). Power hitter (4 HR, .808 SLG in 2018 club season). Leadoff hitter with high OBP (.594 in 2018 club, .418 as freshman on varsity). Mainly gap-to-gap hitter, but can hit to opposite field. Fast hands. Finishes through swing for power. Makes hard contact. Crushes inside pitches. Working on improving hitting high pitches and riseballs. At 3B, has quick feet. Gets to bunts quickly. 55 mph IF in Aug. 2018 (likely better now). Does strength, agility and footwork workouts to improve arm strength and overall abilities. Very determined to be the best she can be. Very competitive. When has a bad day, gets in extra work to try to fix what went wrong and improve. Self-driven. Outstanding student (4.045 GPA, 25 ACT; sports medicine/physical therapy major).   — Jason Lauren, ScoutU Head Scout, 414-303-7607, ON-FIELD STRENGTHS: Very coachable, very knowledgeable with the game of softball, great footwork, quick response time, gets the ball in and out of her glove quickly and efficiently, powerful hitter, fantastic teammate, adaptable, she started playing 3rd base and I had to move her to SS.  Made transition look effortless, solid positional player and hitter.  OFF-FIELD STRENGTHS: I can say without a doubt, she is one of the hardest workers out there.  She will take reps until she is done, if she needs more she always takes them.  She is a fantastic young student-athlete, she leads on the field and in the classroom.  She is a coaches DREAM!  I know she will be very successful in whatever she does.  She is a very determined player and knows what she needs to do to be successful.  Softball is her love and passion, which brings great joy to me!  Players and coaches are better people just being around her. AREAS TO IMPROVE:  There really isn’t a weakness. The one thing I could say she played up as a freshmen and was quiet, but to be expected!  This year, she is completely different as far as being vocal! Her playing ability and work ethic is that of a true champion. — Jessie Hermus, Kimberly H.S. coach

Hello, my name is Mariah Stevenson, and I am a 2021 graduate at Kimberly High School in Kimberly, Wisconsin. I am a 5-5, 135-pound third basemen, and I also play shortstop but will play anywhere I am needed. I hold a 4.045 GPA (25 ACT), participating in AP and college courses such as AP English language and composition, AP psychology and CAPP pre-calculus. I plan on pursuing further education in the medical field such as physical therapy, sports medicine or radiology. As a softball player, my greatest strengths are my hitting and defense. Playing up last year at an 18U level with Wisconsin Panther Elite, I had 6 home runs (team lead), .329 batting average, a .420 on-base percentage and a 1.055 OPS. My infield arm velocity is 58 mph and my bat exit speed is 68 mph. Outside of my regularly scheduled softball practices and games, I am continuously working to not only improve my softball skills but to also increase my strength and stamina. Through my high school, I participate in many strength and conditioning activities. During the school year, I take performance training, which is an intense workout class. I attend after-school weight lifting programs and a summer strength and conditioning program, which is three days a week throughout the summer. Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I am excited and eager to hear back from you and to see how I can fit into your athletic and academic programs!
