evaluations

Laney Armistead is a 2021 2B/OF from Senoia, GA and the Atlanta Premier. She’s a scrappy 2B with great feet and hands. Laney knows how to get it done. A versatile athlete with exceptional skill in the outfield as well. Laney is a sub 2.9 talent, so her speed plays on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Laney can swing it from both sides. A true triple threat from the left side or turn her around and she will deliver as a gap style hitter with occasional power. Fun, happy go-lucky personality but driven and business like on the field. This kid will be a great additional to any roster. — Scott Woodcock, ScoutU Southeast Head Scout & Hiwassee College Assistant Coach, by text or phone at 423-255-3106 or Scott@ScoutU.org

MESSAGE FROM LANEY

My name is Laney Armistead, a 2021 grad from Senoia, GA. I am a switch hitter and I also slap. I throw right-handed, and I play second base and outfield; however, I have been utilized as a utility player at times. I will play wherever my team/coach needs me to help my team be successful. I play for the Atlanta Premier travel team. I feel I play an important role on my team. My strongest quality as a player is my speed, being light on my feet and my ability to control runners with my arm. I am never afraid to lay out for the ball and my coaches, other coaches, umpires and parents have all commented on my ability in the field. I am very dedicated to becoming the best player I can be and improving every day. I spend time at hitting lessons, fielding practice, running and enjoying my hobbies. I am a dedicated person, and I know my job on the field. When I am up to bat, my coaches know if they need me to hit behind the runner, drop a bunt down the line or hit to the fence, I am going to strive to make it happen. I strive to be the best for my team. Throughout any hardships in my life, God is always with me. It is my desire to attend college and work in sports medicine and maybe become a physical therapist. This takes hard work and strong academics, so I always push for great grades and accept nothing less. I want to be a well-rounded and educated student-athlete. Thank you coach for taking the time to review my profile, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
