1st on team in 3-point percentage (40%)
6-foot-0, 185 pounds. Point guard/shooting guard. Lefty. Athletic skills (32-inch vertical) and size. Strong (425 dead lift, 225 bench). Excellent potential and ceiling. Smart player (enjoys watching film; high basketball IQ). Excellent form and rotation on shot. Can create own space with stall moves, crossovers and hesitation moves). Ability to hit deep 3s (3 feet beyond arc). Very good court vision to find lanes to drive to the hoop and find open teammates. Excellent free-throw shooter (90%). Plays tight D (good footwork). Good, not great quickness. Also working on more consistent pull-up jumper. Outstanding work ethic (does extra shooting in the gym, dribbling in his basement, workouts at school at 6 a.m., in strength and agility program, does whatever it takes to improve). Great kid (has done a ton of volunteering and involved in the community). Team leader on and off the court. Coachble (always asking for feedback on how can improve). Excellent student (3.935 GPA, 30 ACT).

MESSAGE FROM ISANDRO
My name is Isandro Jimenez, and I attend Edgewood High School in Madison, Wisconsin. I am a 6-foot-0, 185-pound 2021 point guard. I have a 3.935 GPA (30 ACT) and would like to study business/entrepreneurship or athletic training/kinesiology in college. As a sophomore and junior, I was the starting point guard on the varsity team (15.8 ppg, 40% 3-pointers, 80% free throws). I led our team in 3-point shooting percentage and led our team in free-throw shooting percentage. I was named Honorable Mention Badger South All-Conference both years.
Some things that make me special are I am the leader of my team. In the weight room, I can dead lift over 425 pounds, bench over 215 pounds, and I have a 32-inch vertical. In the off-season, I do strength, speed and agility training with a trainer with experience training collegiate athletes. The program is called Elite Strength, and I train in Elite Strength four days per week in the off-season. During season and off-season, I get in the gym every day for multiple hours, no matter if we have practice or not to work on my game. Last summer, I also worked as an Intern at Sports AdvantEdge in Verona, WI under former Wisconsin Badgers strength coach Brian Bott.
I work hard in school, and I take school very seriously. I was recently honored for academic excellence for maintaining a 3.935 GPA. I am a member of the Edgewood High School Honor Society, National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars. I carry a challenging academic schedule, having taken four advanced classes (Honors Chemistry, Accelerated Algebra 2, Honors Physics and Honors Pre-Calc), and I am taking AP Calculus and Honors Accounting as a senior. I have taken many science courses, including Human A&P and Advanced Athletic Training. I believe it’s equally important to have a strong work ethic in the classroom and on the basketball court. I’m starting to explore colleges to find a college where I can play ball and get a strong education.
In addition to thriving in school, I do regular volunteer work for my community and have many volunteer hours. I have 120 volunteer hours as a high school student. I volunteer for a challenger baseball league where I am a Big Buddy to a person with physical challenges. I was nominated by my coaches to serve on the Edgewood High School Leadership Council. This year, I helped remove sandbags from local homes as a result of severe flooding, and I volunteered for local fundraising events. As a member of the basketball team, I volunteered to work the scoreboard at various youth tournaments. Finally, as an Edgewood High School student, I participated in Edgewood In The Community Day, which gives students the opportunity to serve the community in a variety of ways. Service is an important component of leadership, and I believe it’s important for young leaders to give back to the community, because the community does so much to support our schools and teams.
