2021 Hayden Salter is one of the best 2021s I’ve seen so far. She is a fully tooled athlete with all of the intangibles. She plays bigger and older than what she is. From the OF, she brings sub-3 speed to get into the alleys but also has a huge arm (66 mph OH) that will keep a base runner honest. She plays MI on the right side when not in the OF, but she maintains a skills set good for either side of the middle IF. With smooth, quick feet, strong arm and her ability to transition fast, she will be solid as she further develops. From the dish, Hayden brings a big bat and plans to do damage each time she steps in the box. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out, I watched her pass on several pitches and swing at the outside pitch she could drive to the right side and that says a lot about her softball IQ. Hayden will make a huge addition to any roster, and I expect her to compete for one at a high level.

MESSAGE FROM HAYDEN
My name is Hayden Reed Salter, and I am 2021 outfielder/2B from Bowdon, GA. I attend Central High School in Carrollton, GA. I am a natural, right-handed hitter, and I hit with power to all fields. I have a 3.0-second home to first. I know that my ability to use my speed to get on base is what benefits my team the most, so speed is something I work at. I have hit several home runs but generally my power into the gaps, plus my speed will enable me to stretch a base from time to time. I frequently capitalize on defensive mistakes with stolen bases.
In school, I am consistently on the A Honor Roll and plan to stay that way. My GPA is currently a 4.0. I dream of playing softball in college. That is something I will keep working hard to do. I appreciate your consideration as a player in your program. You will find that I am very hard working, and I have a good attitude. My teammates always comment on my “business smile,” because even when I am playing, I try to stay positive. You will also find that I am driven and dedicated and will not let anything stand in my way of being successful.
Thank you for reading a little about me, and I look forward to hearing from you. If you have any advice for me in order to reach my dreams, I would appreciate hearing that as well.
